Cheikin will oversee leasing, property management, security, engineering, Ease Hospitality and residential asset management

NEW YORK, NY (June 1, 2023) - Fisher Brothers, a fourth-generation real estate company that owns, manages and operates unique spaces across the country, today announced that David Cheikin will join the firm as Head of Real Estate. In this role, David will oversee the commercial and residential portfolio, and lead leasing, property management, security, engineering and residential asset management operations. He will also head Ease Hospitality, Fisher Brothers’ luxury amenity, meeting and conferencing solution.

David brings more than two decades of experience leading strategic real estate initiatives, including ground up development, large format redevelopment, leasing and investment management. Most recently, David served as Executive Vice President of Columbia Property Trust, where his primary responsibility was to enhance the value of the portfolio through proactive leasing and management of capital projects. Prior to joining Columbia Property Trust, David spent 16 years at Brookfield Properties, serving most recently as the executive vice president and head of its New York and Boston regions. He holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of Rochester.

Fisher Brothers’ commercial portfolio encompasses seven million square feet of Class A office space, including the iconic towers Park Avenue Plaza, 299 Park Avenue, 1345 Avenue of the Americas and 605 Third Avenue in Manhattan, as well as Station Place, Washington, DC’s largest private office complex. In recent years, Fisher Brothers has undertaken two large-scale capital improvement plans. At 1345 Avenue of the Americas, the $120 million project included a WiFi enabled public park, two large-scale experiential art installations, a redesigned exterior, new lobby, and amenity floor managed by Ease Hospitality. At 299 Park Avenue, the $20 million dollar capital improvement plan transformed the interior and exterior lobby spaces, including the installation of a 60-foot-long LED art installation with real-time, software-generated graphics.

Fisher Brothers has grown and expanded its business to launch Ease Hospitality, an amenity management company and hybrid meeting solution, that manages amenity spaces at 1345 Avenue of the Americas and 605 Third Avenue. Offerings include a tenant lounge, cafe, wellness center and meeting areas, all of which can be managed through the custom @Ease Workplace App. David will oversee operations and strategy for Ease Hospitality.

A testament to the infrastructure upgrades the firm has undertaken at its properties in recent years, Fisher Brothers was recognized for achieving WELL Health Safety Rating certification from the International WELL Building Institute across its New York City commercial portfolio and 100 percent LEED certification across the entire portfolio.

The firm’s growing residential portfolio comprises over one million square feet in New York, Washington, DC and Las Vegas, with more to come soon. Standout buildings include House 39, which features 297 residences in Murray Hill, New York City; Station House, which offers 378 apartments in Washington DC; and 111 Murray, a 157-unit ultra-luxury condominium in New York City.
